                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED NORTHEAST FROM EAST 44TH STREET,
                   BETWEEN 12TH AVENUE AND 13TH AVENUE, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an alley located northeast from East 44th Street, 

         between 12th Avenue and 13th Avenue, more particularly 
described
         herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part
         hereof by reference:
        
                A 20 foot wide alleyway beginning on the northeast
                line of East 44th Street 130 feet southeast of the
                southeast line of 12th Avenue, and extending
                northeast 102.6 feet between parallel lines.  Said
                alleyway separates lots 16 and 17, block 2, from
                lots 34 and 35, block 2, Coulter's Addition to East
                End, as shown by plat of record in plat book 2,
                page 9, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 168J-H-26, 27, and 28.
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
